ACC sues BWDB chief engineer among 11 for money embezzlement

ACC Deputy Assistant Director Shahidur Rahman filed a case with its integrated district office in Habiganj on Wednesday

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against 11 people, including Chowdhury Nazmul Alam, chief engineer of Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) and MD-Chairman of Sigma Engineers, for embezzling Tk 34.43 crore from the Kashimpur Pump House Rehabilitation Project under the Manu River Irrigation Project.

ACC Deputy Assistant Director Shahidur Rahman filed a case with its integrated district office in Habiganj on Wednesday.

Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya, public relations (Director) officer of the ACC, confirmed the matter to media.
